Ice Jams Threatening Homes and Bridges in Midwest

Ice jams are threatening to destroy homes in the Midwest that are located along waterways. The ice has been building during the extremely cold winter. CBS This Morning says some areas are threatened by the worst ice jams in history.
Warmer temperatures and rain can push the ice into homes along the shore. There are fears that if temperatures rise rapidly this spring it could cause severe flooding as well as damage to property from the floating ice chunks jamming up into structures and trees. Take a look:
A story from The Weather Channel says ice jams are even threatening the water supply in a town in Pennsylvania. Ice jams recently caused a bridge to close in the Chicago area.
