As Moss scrambles to hang on to the money and his life, small-town sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) closes in on both men in a tautly plotted cat-and-mouse game that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the final credits roll.

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was forced to resign when it was discovered he had been using the services of an international prostitution ring. The new Governor, David Paterson, has admitted he has had affairs and used cocaine in youth. New Jersey Governor McGreevey had to resign over a gay affair. The governor of Puerto Rico, Anibal Acevedo Vila, has been indicted on 19 counts of fraud in connection with a campaign finance scandal. In all of these scandals the wives stood by their men as they faced a hostile press. If you were married to a politician who got caught in a scandal, would you stand by him or her in public? Does your answer change depending on the nature of the charges or if you thought your spouse was innocent of the allegations?
