Giant Stollen on Parade in Dresden

The Dresden Giant Stollen, a 3-ton Christmas cake, was paraded through the Christmas in Dresden yesterday. The huge stollen is pulled through town by horses. The enormous Christmas cake is then carved with a huge knife. The annual giant Christmas cake is part of the Stollenfest celebration in Dresden. The Stollenfest website says its annual giant stollen is made from many single plates which are joined using butter and sugar. Over 60 ovens burn for three weeks straight in order to bake all the stollen plates. Take a look:
