Gas Prices Spike Over 15 Cents in One Week

The AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report shows that the national average gas price has climbed fifteen cents in the past week. The current national average is $3.657 a gallon. This is just the national average. In some states, particular in the Western U.S., gas prices are well over the $4 mark. This is above 25 cents higher than the same time last year. The cause for the rising prices is due the rise in crude oil, which is linked to the recent military coup in Egypt. ABC News reports on the shock on the pump. In some locations in the Midwest gas is up 25 to 30 cents in the past week. AAA says days of gas below $3 is likely a thing of the past. Take a look:
