National Fettuccine Alfredo Day is February 7th. Italian restaurateur Alfredo di Lelio is credited with creating the pasta dish. He first made it in 1914 for his pregnant wife, who was having trouble eating. He later began serving at his restaurant, the
Alfredo alla Scrofa.
Fazoli's is celebrating the holiday this year by offering Fettuccine Alfredo for $1. You can find a coupon on the restaurant chain's
Facebook page.
Fazoli's cmo Cathy Hull said in a statement, "We expect our restaurants to be very busy on February 7. But we think it's a great way to honor restaurateur Alfredo di Lelio and give back to our customers."
