FAA Investigates Harlem Shake Video Recorded During Frontier Airlines Flight
New Harlem Shake videos appear daily on YouTube and other video sharing sites. The dance craze drove Bauer's song to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The dance craze has even spread to airplanes, which has the FAA concerned. This video was recorded by students from Colorado College during a Frontier Airlines flight. It looks like nearly everyone on the plane is dancing.
The FAA is not amused by the video. CNN reports that the FAA is investigating the video and how it was recorded. They are trying to determine if the seat belt light was on when the video was being recorded. Frontier Airlines says the sign was off when the video was recorded. The students say they obtained prior approval from the airline. Experts told CNN that sudden turbulence during the dance could have been problematic, which is a good point.
