Eight Corvettes Swallowed by Sinkhole Inside National Corvette Museum
Eight corvettes were swallowed by a sinkhole that opened up underneath the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky yesterday. The Bowling Green Fire Department estimated that the sinkhole is 40 feet wide and 25 to3 0 feet-deep. The sinkhole caused millions of damage. The Skydome in the museum is undamaged. The museum remains open with the Skydome area blocked off to visitors.
CNN reports that eight cars were swallowed by the sinkhole. Here is footage of the sinkhole and a security camera video showing the cars falling into it. Take a look:
