Model Edie Campbell covers the April 2013 issue of British Vogue. This is her first
Vogue cover. It was shot by photographer David Sims. The tagline on the cover says, "Edie Campbell's modern cool." The 22-year-old British model has appeared in campaigns for Burberry, Chanel, Marc Jacobs and others. She also walked the runway at fashion shows for the top fashion houses.
Edie
told Vogue that she was a ridiculous choice for the cover. She said, "
Vogue was the magazine that growing up that you really looked at. It has always been aspirational. It's such a farce that I'm on the cover. I remember looking at the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley March 2011 cover thinking, 'I want to look like that.' That hasn't happened yet, but here I am on the front of the magazine. It's bizarre and so flattering. I mean, why pick me? It's just ridiculous."
