Ebay Advises Users to Change Passwords Following Breach

Ebay is telling its users to change their passwords following a breach. The company says a small number of employee log in credentials were compromised during the cyberattack. The company says a database containing encrypted passwords was compromised, but they found no evidence that financial or credit card information was accessed during the attack. The company also says Paypal users were not affected.

Ebay says in a FAQ that this attack occurred between late February and early March, but they didn't became aware of the attack until earlier this month. Ebay says it is currently in the process of notifying all 145 million eBay customers by email and recommending they change their password.
