In this preview clip, talk show host David Letterman opens up to Oprah Winfrey about his sex scandal. Letterman admitted he had affairs with several interns from his show, both before and after he married his longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko. Oprah notes to Letterman,
"You want to get through your whole life and not have the word 'sex scandal' attached to your name." He agreed, but admitted he didn't make it.
He says, "I have no one to blame but myself...I feel better about myself, my relationship with my wife is never better, and it's just because I want to be the person I thought I was and probably was pretending I was...
"I hurt a lot of people," he admits.
Letterman came clean on national television when he was blackmailed by a producer at the CBS show
48 Hours, who threatened to write a tell all book if Letterman didn't pay millions. Letterman didn't pay. Instead, he went to the police and confessed his infidelities. Oprah's tell all interview with the notoriously interview-shy comedian will air
