Model Daria Werbowy covers the September 2013 issue of British Vogue. The cover shoot was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. In the interview
, Daria talks about modeling and her decision to take a break from the business. She also talks about sailing, which is both a passion and therapy for her.
On Taking a Break From Modeling
: "I was exhausted. Three and a half years of waking up places and not knowing where I was. I felt like I was losing it. And I was in my mid-twenties which, for a woman, are tough times. I wasn't doing my job well. I wasn't on top of it."
: "We're completely bombarded by image, and what kind of life we're supposed to have, and what kind of people we're supposed to be. People are always trying to fit us into boxes, and say, she's this kind of girl or she's that kind of girl. I think I was feeling that very acutely. I was really confused as to who I was supposed to be. I think it's really difficult for anyone in the public eye."
On Being at Sea
: "You don't have to be anything. I just become completely myself."
