Budweiser's Clydesdale Fence ad was the cutest Super Bowl ad this year. An adorable Clydesdale colt and a longhorn calf become friends and love to race. The theme of the ad is "a Clydesdale friendship cannot be contained." Take a look:
Tai Shan, a 4 year old panda, is leaving the National Zoo in Washington D.C. for China on February 4. The zoo hosted a farewell party to say goodbye yesterday. The panda has been very popular with D.C. residents. His pictures have also been posted all over the Internet.
Tai Shan will fly from Dulles International Airport directly to Chengdu, China, with a keeper and veterinarian from the National Zoo. Mei Lan, a three-year-old female panda born at Zoo Atlanta, will be accompanying Tai Shan on the trip. The National Zoo staff traveling with him will stay in China for a week as he transitions to life in his new home at Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya'an, Sichuan.

There is a new baby Mini-Nubian goat at New York's Central Park Zoo. The New York Postsays the baby goat has been drawing crowds to the children's petting zoo. The baby goat was born on January 12th. Take a look:
A new species of crab that resembles a strawberry was found on the beaches of Taiwan. The crab was discovered by Professor Ho Ping-ho from the National Taiwan Ocean University. The crab's back really does resemble a strawberry. The Daily Mail has larger photos here.
A baby giraffe born at Calfornia's Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has made his public debut. The little giraffe calf is the first born at the park since 1992. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He has not been given a name yet. Take a look:
A beluga whale calf was born yesteday at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. The calf quickly bonded with its mother after birth. The AP says the calf was born head first which is unusual. Usually a beluga whale calf is born tail first. Take a look:
Animal expert Jack Hanna brought some of his favorite animals on to The Early Show. Hanna's favorite include the sloth, great horned owl, a palm civet and two serval cat cubs. Jack Hanna says the sloth does everything upside down, including breed. Take a look:

Debbye Turner Bell gives an exclusive behind the scenes peek at Yun Zi, the San Diego Zoo's 14 week old panda cub. Yun Zi recently received his name which means "Son of Cloud" at a naming ceremony. Debbye Turner Bell was the first journalist who was allowed in to one of Yun Zi's checkups. Yun Zi is just starting to take bigger baby steps. Take a look:
A baby gorilla was born recently at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan. MSNBC says animal lovers have already started to flock to the zoo to see the baby gorilla. Take a look:
San Diego Zoo managers have chosen to name a baby panda Yun Zi, which means "son of cloud."
In the end, the name that was bestowed upon this bear is one that pays tribute to an extraordinary mother, Bai Yun. Mama bear's name means "white cloud." And so, our little guy is from here on out to be called Yun Zi or "son of cloud."
The Chinese name, Yun Zi, was revealed at a ceremony at the Zoo's Hunte Amphitheater. Dr. Ron Swaisgood, co-head of the Zoo's Giant Panda Conservation Unit, shared the history of the giant panda at the Zoo, from Bai Yun's arrival in 1996, the birth of her five cubs here in San Diego, and an update on our newest panda.
The zoo received 6,331 name suggestions. Yun Zi was born earlier this summer and is now 3 months old. The zoo offers a live Panda Cam here.

Elephants at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore enjoy pumpkins at ZooBOOO 2009. The little one does not know what to do with the pumpkins at first. It seems like the older elephant has experienced pumpkins before. Take a look:
