Cracker Barrel Pulls Some Duck Dynasty Products

Posted on December 21, 2013

Cracker Barrel has reportedly pulled some Duck Dynasty products following Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson's comments to GQ that homosexuality is a sin. The Chicago Tribune reports that Robertson also made anti-gay comments in 2010.

Robertson reportedly said about gays: "They're full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant God haters. They are heartless. They are faithless. They are senseless. They are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil."

Cracker Barrel pulled products like the Phil Robertson statue above and slashed prices by 50% on others. However, Cracker Barrel says it continues to sell some Duck Commander products. Duck Commander is the duck hunting product business created by the Robertson family. Here is a statement from Cracker Barrel:

Cracker Barrel's mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture. We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores. We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation. We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so.

A search on on Cracker Barrel's online store returns no result for Ducky Dynasty or Phil Robertson. However, there are some Duck Commander shirts.
