Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Open a Children's Cancer Hosptal in Surrey

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened a new children's cancer center in Sutton, Surrey. The Royal Marsden was founded in 1851; it was the first hospital in the world dedicated to cancer treatment and research. The first hospital in Chelsea was where Princess Diana made her first royal engagement. She remained a patron of the charitable hospital until her death. Prince William is now a patron, and has worked shifts at the hospital to learn more about the institution.

Prince William didn't sleep last night: he just pulled a 24-hour shift as a rescue pilot in Wales, and rescued two people last night. He then hopped a helicopter to meet his wife for the opening.

Catherine wore Amanda Wakely's Sculpted Felt Long Sleeved Dress in Oatmeal, heels by LK Bennett, and carried a box clutch. She wore a cross necklace. CNN has video of their arrival:
