Google Shutting Down Boutiques, Updating Google Product Search
Google announced today that it is closing its Boutiques website, which it launched last November. The Boutiques website will end on October 14 and users will be redirected to Google Product Search. Google is incorporating some of the features from Boutiques in Google Product Search.
Google has already incorporated some of the Boutiques features into its apparel searches. You can browse dress collections by color and silhouette. Google says you can also explore visually similar styles by clicking on that dress and viewing dozens of visually similar ones. A shift dress by designer Rachel Roy is featured on the new homepage for Google Product Search.
