Facebook Reportedly Partnering With INQ Mobile for Facebook Phones
Bloombergreports that Facebook is working with INQ Mobile on two smartphones. Bloomberg says AT&T will be the carrier for the phones. The phones will launch in Europe in the first half of 2011 and in the U.S. in the second half. 25% of Facebook's users log on using wireless devices, but it isn't clear why Facebook thinks this users need a Facebook phone, when a Facebook app would suffice. Many Facebook users log on with laptops, but Facebook isn't planning on launching a Facebook laptop. Bloomberg says Facebook has not yet decided if it will used the Facebook name on the INQ phones.
