Tata Motors' Nano Car Covered With Gold and Jewels
Titan Industries Goldplus gave the tiny Nano, a cheap car made in India by Tata Motors, a luxury makeover using gold, silver, rubies, emeralds and other semi-precious stones. 80 kilograms of gold were used for the makeover. The Wall Street Journal has a slideshow here. The bejweled car is valued at $4.4 million. The Financial Timessays a regular Tata Nano costs just $3,000, but the blinged out version is worth $1,819 per troy ounce. Take a look:
