Swine Flu Welcomes College Students Back to School

College students had an unwanted welcome from the H1N1 swine flu virus when they returned to school. The L.A. Times reports that there over 6,400 cases on college campuses during the week of September 5th through September 11th. The data is from the American College Health Association.
New infections by the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus rose 20% at colleges and universities last week as the nation edges closer to the normal flu season. A total of 6,432 cases of influenza-like illness--presumed to be swine flu--were reported during the week of Sept. 5-11 at the 253 institutions that report weekly to the American College Health Assn. For the college year, 13,434 cases have now been reported.
It doesn't sound like it is going to be a fun fall for college students. Some campuses have set up dorms to use as quarantines and college kids are calling them "Swine Flu Dorm" or "Club Swine."
