Brad Pitt Disses Marriage to Jennifer Aniston in Shockingly Narcissistic Parade Interview

Posted on September 15, 2011

Brad Pitt is on the cover of Parade magazine and the accompanying interview is so obnoxious we really couldn't believe what we were reading. He comes off as a pompous, egotistical, narcissistic ass.

The article is entitled "Brad Pitt is Finally Satisfied." In the interview he speaks very disrespectfully of his marriage to Jennifer Aniston, which is a big change from what he usually has to say about her and the marriage. He basically says his entire marriage was one big bore, and now he finally is having some excitement in his life with Angelina Jolie. He says his focus now is on being a "satisfied man." Here are some choice quotes:

On How He Focuses on Being a "Satisfied Man": "I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie..."

Where He Disses Jennifer Aniston Big Time: "I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."

So why is Brad suddenly painting his marriage as one long, boring stint on a couch smoking a joint, when he's never said anything remotely like this before to the press? He must forget some of us have read interviews with him from that time period where he talks about how much fun he and Jen had. So why the history rewrite? Why not let the past stay in the past? It's like he's angry with Jen and wants to intentionally say something hurtful in the press. How odd. Perhaps he's unhappy about the Justin Theroux situation? He must know Justin -- they both worked on Megamind. Justin voiced Megamind's Father and wrote the very funny song that Metro Man sang.

One other thing in the interview struck us as strange. Brad said he and Angie would get married only when gays can married. He said because they aren't married, he was not allowed to adopt any of the children; only Angelina adopts: "Now the rules are that because we are not married, I can't adopt. Angie adopts." So he's saying he has no legal rights to their adopted children, and is not willing to get married to remedy that situation.

Well, at least he's "satisfied." It looks like Jen was right -- he really is missing a sensitivity chip.
