Amazon.com is challenging Apple's iPad in a new commercial. The commercial features a guy struggling to read his iPad out by the pool in direct sunlight. The iPad is hard to read in sunlight because it doesn't use electronic ink technolgy like most electronic readers. The guy turns to a girl who is wearing sunglasses and reading with no problem thanks to her Kindle.
The guy asks, "Excuse me, how are you reading that in this light?"
Her answer includes a dig at the iPad's price. She says, "It's a Kindle. $139. I actually paid more for these sunglasses." Take a look:
