Cindy Chao's Royal Butterfly Brooch Inducted Into Smithsonian
The National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute has the announced the induction of Cindy Chao's Royal Butterfly Brooch. Cindy Chao's 2009 Royal Butterfly Brooch contains a vibrant "Royal Butterfly" balanced by a pair of rough diamonds on the scales. With entirely different coloration and design patterns on front and back, the miniature art work is mounted with 2,318 diamonds and gemstones.
The National Museum of Natural History's collection also includes the deep blue Hope Diamond, Napoleon Diamond Necklace, Marie Antoinette's Earrings and the Inquisition Necklace.
