Video: Japanese Divorce Ceremonies Becoming Popular
In Japan, couples mark the end of an unhappy marriage with a highly symbolic ceremony. The divorce rate is climbing in Japan -- it's now around 25%. But it has a stigma that it does not have in the U.S. To help couples formalize the end of the marriage, divorce ceremonies are becoming more common. Participants say it helps them make a clean break and get on with the next phase of their lives. It's an interesting concept. But do they really have to break a gold and diamond ring??
