Mario Batali Opens Eataly in New York City

Eataly Opening


Mario Batali's new Eataly megastore has opened at 200 Fifth Avenue in New York City. Eataly is billed as the largest artisanal Italian food and wine marketplace in the world. Time reports that Batali opened six restaurants inside the 50,000 square foot Eataly food emporium.

In addition to restaurants, Eataly also includes a wood‐fired pizza and pasta bar, a cheese and salami counter, bakery, beer garden, store, cooking school, pasta counter, food stands, Italian wine shop, butcher, fish monger, veegetable butcher and a classic Italian bar serving gelato, espresso, and wine.
