Video: Anna Wintour Talks Lady Gaga, Fashion's Night Out
Anna Wintour and Marc Jacobs were guests on The Jimmy Fallon Show last night to promote Fashion's Night Out. Anna talked about the Met Ball and Jimmy said what a great party it always is, with fantastic musical acts.
Anna agreed and noted that this year Lady Gaga was the performer. She explained why Lady Gaga was so late getting to the stage (she famously locked herself in a bathroom and Oprah Winfrey was sent to get her out.) Anna said Gaga "was communing with God and she was praying in the back, waiting for God to tell her it was alright to go actually onstage." Ha! That's one explanation. Take a look:
Anna and Marc also explained how Fashion's Night Out works and wanted to confirm that Jimmy and Marc will be dressed as bananas for the evening's entertainment. Marc seemed surprised to be asked to wear a banana costume, but gamely said that he does what he's told. Take a look:
