Video: Michael Douglas Discusses Having Stage 4 Throat Cancer
Michael Douglas appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman last night. Michael is promoting Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, but he also talked about his recent diagnosis of throat cancer. Michael says it's stage 4, which is not good, but it hasn't spread yet so he has an 80% chance of recovery. He has completed the first of eight weeks of a grueling regimen of chemotherapy and radiation. He says as the treatment progresses, it burns the mouth and you can't swallow or eat solid food.
It sounds really rough, but he is a fighter and is determined to beat it. We think it's fantastic that he is willing to share his personal fight with his fans: we think it really helps others who are going through the same thing. We wish him a full and speedy recovery. Take a look:
