Hurricane Watches Issued for North Carolina Coast

The National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane watch for most of the North Carolina coast. Hurricane Earl is a powerful Category 4 storm with winds of 135 mph. The NHC is not sure if Earl will make landfall along the U.S. coast, but even if it stays offshore there will still be winds, beach erosion and dangerous rip currents. Take a look:
