The Expendables and its star-studded ensemble of Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter won this weekend's box office with a take of $35 million. Julia Roberts' film, Eat Pray Love, also performed well. The film adaptation of the bestselling novel by Elizabeth Gilbert made $23.7 million. The Other Guys fell from first place to third but added $18 million more to its box office total. Inception finished fourth and added $11.3 million to its growing box office total of $248 million. Michael Cera's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World did not do as well as expected. It finished fifth and made $10.5 million.
