Bergdorf Goodman Hires Beagles to Patrol for Bed Bugs
WWDreports that Bergdorf Goodman has hired a team of beagles to patrol its Fifth Avenue stores to search for bed bugs. Manhattan has been plagued by the blood suckers. Abercrombie & Fitch and Victoria's Secret had to close stores because of bed bug infestations. Bergdorf is trying to stay on top of the situation by using the beagles.
Ginger Reeder, corporate spokeswoman for the Neiman Marcus Group, told WWD, "We haven't had any reported cases of bed bugs, but we've decided to be on the safe side. It's something our customers care about."
We agree. Customers do not like bed bugs. Every retailer may need its own beagle patrol if the Manhattan infestation continues.
