Prime Minister Cameron Says Government May Shut Down Social Media During Riots
British Prime Minister David Cameron addressed parliament today about the shocking riots in London and the millions of dollars of damages the rioters caused. Because London has cameras pretty much everywhere, most of the looters have been caught on tape. Cameron said that the police will track everyone down that looted or hurt someone, and will be brought to justice.
He said that the looters used Facebook and Twitter to spread the word about criminal happenings, and that the government is looking into whether social media should be suspended during riots to stop the flow of criminal information and disorder.
