The Telegraphreports that UK residents will be able to purchase the LG watch phone sometime this month. The wrist phone was introduced at CES in January. The price for the LG910 phone could be as high as £1,000.
A limited number of the handcrafted watch phones will be available exclusively on the Orange network later this month. Although the precise launch date and
full pricing details are yet to be confirmed, some analysts predict the watch phone could cost as much as £1,000, and will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
"The watch phone is the must-have gadget of 2009," said Tom Alexander, chief executive of Orange UK. "It will turn heads on the high street."
Wiredsays there is still no information about when LG's watch phone will arrive in North America. Wired has some photos here of the impressive watch that includes a touchscreen phone, 3G, Bluetooth and a video camera.
