Target will be closing all of its Garden Centers by late September. The O.C. Registerreports that Target has 262 garden centers. Most of them are in Florida, Arizona, Nevada and California. Target will continue to sell lawn and patio products after its garden centers close, but live plants will no longer be sold at Target stores.
Target said in a statement: "After careful review and consideration, Target has decided to close our Garden Centers. This is no longer a profitable business for us and does not provide significant value to our guests. The effective close date for our Garden Centers will be late September. In the meantime, we will operate our business as usual throughout the spring and summer season."
