Former Miss USA Shannon Marketic Arrested for Shoplifting From Target
Former Miss USA Shannon Marketic has been released from jail in Denton, Texas, after posting $500 bond. Shannon is accused of shoplifting $90 worth of toiletry items and baby products from Target. The items included Oil of Olay Professional ProX skin treatment.
Shannon was the former beauty queen who sued the Sultan of Brunei claiming he held her as a sex slave. The case was dismissed on the grounds that the Sultan was out of court's jurisdiction because he was a head of state. Apparently, things went downhill for her after that. She denies the charges, saying the items rolled under her purse and she didn't see them when she checked out. The AP reports:
