Borders has expanded its toy and game offerings in its more than 500 superstores nationwide. Some of the toy brands sold include Melissa & Doug®, Creativity for Kids, LEGO Systems, Inc, Playmobil, Scientific Explorer, Chicco, Battat, Blue Orange Games and ALEX. Borders is also staffing the children's departments with dedicated kids' specialists, who can answer questions and make toy, game and book recommendations. Borders says the specialists' hours will vary by store.
Borders also recently launched its Borders Ink Teen Shops — sections within most Borders superstores that carry young adult books, graphic novels, manga comics and trendy products, suh as Twilight merchandise.
