Kesha's Take it Off Music Video

Here is Kesha's new video of her single "Take It Off," which is the fourth single off her first album Animal. At first it seems as if the video is just your standard "dance around a scuzzy apartment complex and jump in the abandoned pool" kind of video while singing about taking your clothes off. But it quickly becomes apparent that this video is about something entirely different. When the dancers chest bump each other, they each turn into a different colored chalk (or MAC glitter pigments. Or faerie dust.).

As the dancing gets wilder and wilder Kesha unzips her own skin --- and golden yellow glittery dust escapes from her chest, as her hand dematerializes. It's a faerie-style bacchanalia and everyone disappears with the dawn. Clearly, what they are "taking off" is their human disguises/skins. Well played, Kesha. Well Played. Take a look:
