The demand for headsets is climbing rapidly as states and cities, like New Jersey and Washington D.C., begin to enforce new laws banning the use of hand-held cell phones. In some places people have even had trouble finding headsets, especially as a cell phone ban nears. The Washington Times reported that headsets come in three types: over the ear, above the ear, in the ear and partially in the ear. Speaker phones can also be used, but may not be as easy to use while driving as headsets.
