Who were the top online retailers in 2004? A new article from
Internet Retailer has a list of the top fifty. Internet Retailer
points out that online retailers are making it easier for web shoppers
to buy custom made items. They also explain how retailers are trying
to make it easier for shoppers to get an idea of what items will look
like with new technologies. Internet Retailer writes, "Consumers
who want to see how various colors of bed linens and wall paint go together
can visit Sears.com or Sears` subsidiary LandsEnd.com and play around with a virtual room. They can even put pets on the bed in the Sears.com room."
The top retailers include big names like Amazon.com, eBay.com, Macys.com,
NeimanMarcus.com, BestBuy.com and Sears.com. The list also includes
lesser-known stores like AuntiesBeads.com, FirstStreetOnline.com,
Telescopes.com, ToolKing.com and VermontTeddyBear.com.
