Three More Banks Closed by Federal Regulators. 2011 Total is Now 61

Federal regulators closed three more banks on Friday, July 29. This brings the 2011 total to 61. Bank closings always occur on a Friday. The three failed banks included Virginia Business Bank in Richmond. Its assets were acquired by Xenith Bank.
