Big changes are in store for American Idol. Ellen DeGeneres has resigned as a judge from the show. TMZ reports that Kara DioGuardi has been fired from Idol. She was a judge for two seasons.
TMZ says Idol plans to return to its three judge format.
The rumors are that the judges will be Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, but this hasn't been confirmed by Fox. There have also been rumors Justin Timberlake could join as a judge. Deadline.com says Jlo is a new American Idol judge. If Jlo does join Idol it would certainly help boost the show's ratings.
