Video: Barack Obama Talks Lindsay, Snooki, the Bieber on The View
Barack Obama appeared on The View today and took questions about politics, war and the economy. But he also got grilled on his knowledge of popular culture. Joy Behar asked him if he was aware that Lindsay Lohan is in jail. He said yes he does know that, but he's not entirely sure how he know it -- which is hilarious. He said it's "in the ether." Maybe his daughters told him? Or perhaps he secretly reads RadarOnline.com?
He admitted that he didn't know who Snooki from Jersey Shore is and looked really puzzled when Sherri kept yelling "GTL, Baby!" (Gym, Tan, Laundry, the Sitaution's life philospohy). When asked if Mel Gibson needs anger management classes, he turned to Barbara Walters and said he'd rather answer the Afghanistan question.
As for the Bieber, he doesn't have his songs on his iPod playlist, saying
"I do not have Justin Bieber on there." But he later said he had met Justin and thought he was a very nice young man. Nice save. Take a look:
