Hilary Duff Partners With DKNY for Femme Line

Posted on February 5, 2009

Hilary Duff has partnered with DKNY - a Liz Clairborne brand - for a new fashion line. WWD says Hilary Duff found coming up with a name was one of the hardest parts about launching the line. In the end she chose Femme. Hilary Duff also had a fashion line launched several years ago called Stuff by Hilary Duff that is being phased out.

Hilary told WWD, "One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It's aggressive, but in a good way."

Hilary Duff has lots of irons in the fire - actress, musician and now designer. So far she seems to be managing all three.

Macy's, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom will carry the jeans and prices will range from $19.50 for t-shirts to $64 for outerwear but the products won't ship to stores until August.

According to The Insider The new line will feature Hilary's love of poppies and sequins with "vinyl, menswear fabrics and motorcycle details."

Hilary says, "It's not only jeans. We did little jackets and tops and a few dresses and big cowl neck scarves, which is really fun."

Hilary gives a sneak peak of her new line in this video.
