Sarah Palin stepped down as governor yesterday in Fairbanks, Alaska. She gave a farewell speech in which she vowed to keep fighting for Alaska and to protect the state just like a mama bear protecting her cubs. She blasted the press for making things up and hit out at starlets who don't like hunting (that has to be a swipe at Ashley Judd, who criticized the governor's love of helicopter wolf-hunting).
