Sesame Street Comes to J.C. Penney Portrait Studios
J.C. Penney has a fun new concept at its JCPenney Portraits locations: as of this week, kids can pose on the Sesame Street stoop next to Elmo, his new friend and fairy-in-training Abby Cadabby (coming in August), or several other Sesame Street options.
"We are so excited that, for the first time in decades, fans of Sesame Street will have an opportunity to take professional portraits with their favorite characters," said Maura Regan, Vice President and General Manager of Global Licensing, Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street. "We are thrilled to build upon our relationship with JCPenney, one of America's most well-known department stores, and to give children even more reasons to smile and laugh."
The concept is really cute. And maybe -- just maybe -- little Johnny will actually smile in his portrait for once if Elmo is next to him. A portrait without a scowl or tears, what a concept. You can see the portrait samples and get coupons, at jcpportraits.com.
