Victoria's Secret Closes Manhattan Store Because of Bedbugs

CNBC reports that Victoria's Secret has temporarily closed one of its Manhattan stores because of bedbugs. Bedbugs also recently closed a Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch store in New york City. The bedbugs were detected by bedbug detecting dogs.
"As a proactive measure, we tested our Manhattan stores," the spokesperson said. "When we found small, isolated areas that may have been impacted, we immediately took action to resolve the situation."

All merchandise found with bedbugs was destroyed, according to reports. Bedbug-detecting dogs were at the site, on Lexington Avenue and 58th Street, and cryonite was used to freeze and kill the pests.
Bedbugs have become a big nuisance in New York City. Abercrombie & Fitch recentl called for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to help solve the "growing infestation of bedbugs in New York City."
