Amazon.com's ad-supported Kindle 3G is now available for $139 thanks to a sponsorship from AT&T. The Kindle 3G With Special Offers was previously $164. The ad-supported Kindle 3G runs ads on the Kindle's screensaver and on the bottom of the device's home screen. Amazon says the ads do not not interrupt reading. The ad-free Kindle 3G costs $189, which is $50 more that the sponsored version. You can order the ad-supported device here on Amazon.com.
The 3G Kindle is the best version of the device because it provides free global 3G wireless. You don't need a Wi-Fi connection to order books.
