New Study Finds Link Between Vitamin D Deficiency and Dementia
New research has found a link between a lack of vitamin D and dementia. A USA Todayarticle about the new study says it suggests that exercise, regular tea-drinking and sufficient vitamin D levels could help reduce the risk of brain decline. The New York Timesreported on a similar study a year ago. David Llewellyn, a research associate at Cambridge University and the study's lead author, noted that, "The cause of dementia is not vitamin D deficiency."
It should be noted, that a federally convened panel of health experts recently shared the depressing news that there is no solid scientific proof that a healthy lifestyle can prevent Alzheimer's disease or cognitive decline.
