A growing trend in home sales is the full disclosure of all known problems with the home like leaks, damage, building codes, sewer problems, insect problems and regional concerns like earthquakes and flooding. Disclosure can also include a past home insurance report and even information about paranormal activity. According to BankRate.com, Laws in 2/3 of all states now require a property disclosure. BankRate.com also says that home disclosure is a recent and growing trend unlike the 1960 era of home buying when there was more of a "buyer beware" philosophy to home purchasing.
