The Le Taste of France Show will make its New York premiere September 29-30, 2012 at Pier 54. The two-day exhibition is dedicated to French cuisine and the French way of life in New York City.

Some of the chefs confirmed for the two-day event include Jacques Pepin, Marc Murphy, Jean-Louis Gerin, Jean Louis Dumonet, Claude Godard and Ariane Daguin.

The event is raising money to benefit Action Against Hunger and honor "La Fete de la Gastronomie" in France.

Guests will have a choice to either sample dishes with a "Tasting" plate or indulge in a "Degustation" plate. All food and drink will be available for purchase with Mariannes, the official currency of Le Taste of France Show . The show will also feature live French music, a French Flea Market, a French Bulldog Dog Show and other events.

Update: Some video clips from the event can be found on French Morning. Here's a clip with James Beard Award-winning Chef Jean-Louis Gerin.
