Photo: Duchess of Cambridge Presents Player Prize to her Husband
The Duchess of Cambridge presents a player prize wrapped in a Tiffany Blue Box to The Duke of Cambridge, following The Foundation Polo Challenge at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. The Duchess also awarded The Foundation Polo Challenge Trophy. Prince William's team won the match thanks to four goals from Prince William.
Tiffany & Co. sponsored the event and created the trophy, which was handcrafted in sterling silver and 18 karat gold vermeil. The 14.7-pound trophy stands 18 inches tall and features a border of horseshoes entwined with laurel that was originally designed by Eugene Soligny in 1876 for the National Cup for Stallions.
