Aquascutum Pulls Out of London Fashion Week

Vogue UK reports that British fashion brand Aquascutum has pulled out of London Fashion Week this September. Aquascutum has been put up for sale by its parent company, Renown.
"While Renown awaits a sale of Aquascutum, they are consolidating their investment in the business during this period and will therefore not show at London Fashion Week in September," the company announced this afternoon. Founded in 1851, Aquascutum has been in the business headlines recently after ceo Kim Winser's sudden departure following a failed buyout attempt late last year. Its parent company since 1990, Renown, has reportedly since been in talks with Chinese company YGM Trading and British label Crombie about a possible acquisition.
Hopefully, it will just be a rare and temporary absence from London Fashion Week for Aquascutum.
