Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp was the other big new film opening this weekend. It came in third and made a little over $26 million. Public Enemies was followed by the comedies, The Proposal and The Hangover, which continue to sell tickets. Each of these films made over $10 million during the holiday weekend.
